Azalea by StrawberrieMew Azalea by StrawberrieMew
This is my original character, Azalea. I made her up back in early 2009, I only have one drawing of her that I haven't thrown away. I plan to one day use it in a "Draw it again!" meme to see how much I've gotten better. Anyway, only a bust because I wanted to practice coloring and shading. :) I suck at both but I think this came out pretty decent, if anyone has any tips on shading and coloring please feel free to express them, I'd love some help!

Nice, I love her design. If you do, I can't wait to see a full drawing of her :D As for tips, if I come up with something I'll be sure to let you know. All I can say right now is just keep picturing your character and the light source every time you try to add shade. Then again the best question to ask here is what style of shade are you looking at. The typical cel-shade or a slightly realistic one?
Anyways great job :iconkermityayplz:
